Joseph Barreiro

Joseph Barreiro, 93, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital on January 2, 2022. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Edward Barreiro and Rose Amelia (DosSantos) Barreiro and husband of the late Laura (Martin) Barreiro. Joseph worked for many years at Chamberlain Manufacturing and then in the distribution plant for Titleist, from which he retired. He was a Korean War veteran for which he served from 1950-1952 in the United States Army. Joseph is survived by his daughters; Sandra Ledvina and husband Raymond of New Bedford, Sharon Jacobson and son-in-law Thomas Jacobson of Ringwood, NJ, Donna Barreiro of New Bedford, his grandchildren; Zachary Ledvina and wife Kayla of Colorado, Thomas Jacobson of Ringwood, NJ, Joseph Jacobson of Ringwood, NJ, Justin Ledvina and wife Tina of Fairhaven, Tyler Ledvina of Fairhaven, great grandchildren; Alyssa, Jasmin, Trey, Jarrod, William, his great great grandchildren, Isabella, Quinn and many nieces and nephews. Joseph's Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 14th at Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30am with burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. His visitation will be held Thursday, January 13th at the Boulevard Funeral Home from 6-8pm.
