Adriano Correia

Adriano Correia 91 of New Bedford passed away Friday July 17, 2015 at the Southeastern MA Health and Rehab. He was the husband of Vivina (Da Costa) Correia and son of the late Albano and Deolinda Correia. He was born in Mioma, Portugal and had lived in New Bedford since 1959. Mr. Correia was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was the founder and owner of Correia’s Auto Body and Garage Inc. for many years. Mr. Correia was a member of the Clube Recordacoes de Portugal and the New Bedford Sports Club. His enjoyment in life was being with his family. Survivors include his wife; his sons Edward Correia and his fiancée Fatima Dias; Jorge Correia and his wife Stephanie all of New Bedford. His brother Eduardo Correia of Lisbon; his sisters Laurinda Correia of Dartmouth, Palmira Correia of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; his grandchildren Amy M. Varnum, Adrian M. Correia and Nathan M. Correia. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His funeral mass will be said 10:30am Tuesday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Monday 5-8pm.Burial will be in Mioma, Portugal. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
