Ana Borges

Ana (Machado) Borges 86 0f New Bedford passed away Sunday February 1, 2015 at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Manuel A. Borges. She was born in Villa Reale, Portugal and had lived in New Bedford since 1986. Ana was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Survivors include her daughter Leticia Alves of New Bedford, her sons Jose Borges of Westport, Jose Antonio Borges of Portugal, Joaquim Machado Borges also of Portugal; 11 grandchildren including Ana Alves, Sara Rosa and Daniel Alves; 5 great grandchildren. She has several brothers and sisters in Portugal and France; also many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Joaquim Borges and Maria Taveira. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Thursday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
