Anna Sameiro

Anna (DeSouza) Sameiro 84 of Acushnet passed away Tuesday May 20, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of Leonard L. Sameiro and daughter of the late Albano and Olympia (daSilva) DeSouza. She was born in Rochester, MA and had lived in Acushnet for many years. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. Mrs. Sameiro was formerly employed by Yvette’s Drive In as a waitress for 32 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. Survivors include her husband; her sons Leonard J. Sameiro of Acushnet, David J. Sameiro of Winchester, MA; her daughter Angelina L. Ramos of New Bedford; her sisters Laura Andrews of Assonet, Maria Otocki of Acushnet; 3 grandsons, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral mass will be said 10am Friday at St. Francis Xavier Church. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-7pm.Burial will be in Acushnet Cemetery.
