Antonia Lorena Conterno

Antonia Lorena (Gava) Conterno, 90, of New Bedford, passed away at home on Sunday, February 12th. Born in Tapera, Brazil, she was the daughter of the late Marco Gava and late Antonia (Gasparin) Gava and wife to the late Etelvino Conterno. Antonia came to the United States in 1969 and worked for many years as a stitcher at Riverside Clothing. Antonia is survived by her daughters, Catia Conterno of Waltham, Marilea Lucciola of Rhode Island; son, Geraldo Jose Conterno of New Bedford; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her 6 siblings.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated. A Funeral Mass with her cremated remains will be held Monday, February 27th at 10am at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
