Antonio Botelho

Antonio Botelho 87 of New Bedford passed away Thursday February 23, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Maria Florinda (DaCunha) Botelho and son of the late Joao and Corina Botelho. He was born in Santa Clara, St. Michael, Azores and had lived in New Bedford since 1967. Antonio was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was formerly employed as an auto body technician for Bloom Bus Co. until his retirement. He enjoyed playing soccer and was a big sports fan. Antonio was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife, his son Jose Botelho of New Bedford, his grandchildren Nicole, Brian, Justin and Kyle, also his great grandson Isiah. He was the father of the late Grace Custodio. His funeral mass will be said 9am Tuesday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Monday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
