Antonio DeAmaral, 91, of New Bedford, passed away at home on Saturday, November 4, 2023. He was the son of the late Manuel Pacheco Amaral and the late Maria daConceicao Silva and husband to the late Donatilde (Pacheco) Amaral. Born in Feteira Pequena, St. Michael, Azores, Antonio came to the United States in 1967 where he worked for years as a laborer at various construction companies. He was a member of the St. Michael Social Club & Senhor da Pedra Club. Antonio was a passionate Sporting Clube de Portugal fan. He enjoyed cooking and gardening but most of all his favorite was spending time with his loving family. Survivors include his daughters; Tibera Pereira, Connie Pacheco, Lucy Braga, Maria Sofia Nogueira, Sandra Pereira; sons, Daniel DaAmaral, Steven Amaral; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He preceded in death by his sons; Armando M Amaral, Diogenes Amaral; brothers, Jeremias Amaral, Manuel Amaral, Daniel Amaral, Jose Amaral; sister, Maria Amaral.
Antonio's visitation will be held at the Boulevard Funeral Home on Sunday, November 12th from 3-6pm. His funeral mass will be at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church on Monday, November 13th at 10am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
