Augusta Mimoso

Augusta “Gussie” (Pires) Mimoso 95 of New Bedford passed away Monday December 8, 2014 at the SE MA Health and Rehab Center. She was the daughter of the late Cezar and Mathilde (Ferreira) Pires. She was a lifelong New Bedford resident. Mrs. Mimoso was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was formerly employed as a stitcher for Grinnell Pajamas until her retirement. Survivors include her sons Fernando Mimoso of New Bedford, Caesar Mimoso of New Bedford; her daughters Maria Jose Mimoso of Springhill, FL, Maria de Ceu Monteiro of New Bedford; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Thursday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
