Augusto Ribeiro

Augusto Ribeiro 94 of New Bedford passed away Friday January 23, 2015 at the Hathaway Manor. He was the husband of the late Alda (Jesus) Ribeiro and son of the late Joao Almeida Ribeiro and Piedade (Santos) Ribeiro. He was born in New Bedford and moved to Portugal as a child and came back to New Bedford in 1962. He was a member of the Assembleia Pentecostal Church. Mr. Ribeiro was formerly employed as a laborer in the construction industry until his retirement. Survivors include his sons, Antero Ribeiro of Acushnet and Antonio Ribeiro of Fairhaven; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held 10am FRIDAY, JANUARY 30th (due to the snow) at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd.. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
