Barry Aguiar

Barry Aguiar 67 of New Bedford passed away Monday September 21, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Maria Augusta (Sampaio) Aguiar. He was the son of the late Joseph and Victoria (Figueiredo) Aguiar. He was born in Acushnet and lived in this area all his life. Mr. Aguiar was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in New Bedford. He was formerly employed by Cove Discount Center in the shipping and receiving dept. He was an avid Patriots fan. Survivors include his wife; his father-in-law Manuel Sampaio of New Bedford; his sister-in-law Laura Carvalho of Fairhaven, many nieces and nephews. He was the brother-law of the late Celeste DosSantos and Antonio Sampaio. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral mass 9am Saturday at St. Mary’s Church in New Bedford. His visiting hours and burial are private.
