Camille Correia

Camille (Mello) Correia 95 of New Bedford passed away Thursday June 28, 2012 at the Kimwell Nursing and Rehab Center in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Antone L. Correia and daughter of the late Manuel C. and Frances (Frates) Mello. She was born in New Bedford and was a life long resident. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Mrs. Correia was a buyer for the better dresses dept. at Star Store until her retirement. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality of her church and the Panthers seniors. Survivors include her son Anthony Correia and his wife Wendela of Plymouth, Ma and Gastonia, NC; her daughter Pauline Sugal and her husband Gary of Swansea, MA; her grandchildren Susan Swoish, Dana Correia, Kimberly Paone, Rachel Sugal, Jessica Nokes; her great-granddaughters Sydney Swoish, Taylor Swoish, Caterina Paone; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Silva, Clarisse Correia and Frances daSilva. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Tuesday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 7-9. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ones’ favorite charity.
