On Saturday, May 20, 2023, Carolyn A. Peltier, loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at the age of 76. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Peltier) and her husband, Pierre Alves of New Bedford. As well as her grandson, Isaiah Carmenatty and his fiancé, Olivia Machado of New Bedford. Her older brother, Robert and wife Mary Richard, of North Carolina, will continue the memory of Carolyn and their late sister, Nancy Roberts. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she loved unconditionally.

Carolyn was born on March 9, 1947 in New Bedford, MA to Alfred "Freddy" and Margaret (Curran) Richard. On June 14 1969, she married the love of her life, John E. Peltier and together they raised their daughter, Tracy. They enjoyed 41 wonderful years as husband and wife before his passing in 2010. Carolyn was often heard reminiscing over their life together and how she valued their friendship most of all. In her career, she spent 26 years working for Titleist, where she became well known for her dedication to recycling, even going as far as to begin a recycling program before her retirement in 2013. In addition to that time, Carolyn dedicated 35 years of service as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Luke's Hospital.

Her strong faith in God and love for her family and friends motivated everything she did in her life. She was known for her generosity and optimism. Always finding the good in everyone and every situation. Her sense of humor was infectious and she lived life to the fullest. Carolyn loved to decorate for every holiday, dance and celebrate with her friends. But Carolyn was happiest when spending time with her family, making memories over dinner.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24th from 3-7pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home. Her Funeral Mass will be Thursday, May 25th at 10am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, all are welcome to join us at the Funeral Home prior to Mass at 9am. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
