Cecelia Gonsalves

Cecelia M. (Bragga) Gonsalves 87 of Dartmouth passed away Monday April 16, 2012 at St. Luke’s hospital. She was the wife of the late Clifford Gonsalves. She was born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John V. and Marion S. (Sylvia) Medeiros and the late Thomas Bragga. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband in the floor covering business for many years. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School. She was an avid Red Sox fan and also liked to play Bingo, go to Foxwoods, read and listen to music. She was a member of Julie’s Ladies Guild and Booster Club. She is survived by three daughters, Susan M. Gonsalves of Dartmouth, Mary-Ann Cole and her husband Bruce Cole of Dartmouth, Janice Gonsalves Lord and her husband Charles Lord Jr. of New Bedford; a son Clifford L. Gonsalves of Dartmouth; three grandchildren William T. Cole, Brittany A. Cole and Christopher D. Cole all of Dartmouth as well as a niece, several nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Lawrence Bragga. Her funeral mass will be said 10am Friday at St. Julie Billiart Church 494 Slocum Rd. Dartmouth. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
