Cheryl L. DeMello 45 of North Dartmouth passed away suddenly at Rhode Island Hospital on Tuesday January 17, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Irene (Martin) DeMello. She was born in New Bedford and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart church. Cheryl was employed by Hawthorn Medical Associates as a telephone team leader. Survivors include her fiancé of 23 years Michael Carvalho of South Dartmouth; her sister Dale Silva of New Bedford; Aunt Dot of Dartmouth; Godmother Sandy of New Bedford, nephews Ed DeMello of Berkley, Shaun DeMello of Texas; niece Stacey DeMello of Wareham and the love of her life, her Godchild Madison DeMello of Wareham. A celebration of her life will take place 10am Monday at St. Julie Billiart church. Burial will be private
