Clemente Rezendes

Clemente Rezendes, 71 of New Bedford passed away suddenly at home on Sunday May 6, 2012. He was the husband of Maria Conceicao (Barbosa) Rezendes and son of the late Clemente and Filomena Rezendes. He was born in Faial da Terra, St. Michael and had lived in New Bedford for many years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Mr. Rezendes was formerly employed by Tabor Academy as a chef until his retirement. He was a member of the New Bedford Sports Club and the St. Michael Club. Survivors include his wife, his son Stephen Rezendes of New Bedford; his daughter Donna Rezendes-Lima and her husband Kevin of Dartmouth; his sister Luzia Santos of Cranston, RI; his  precious grandchildren, whom he loved very much, Mackenzie Lima and Nathan Lima; also several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Arruda and Jose Rezendes. His funeral mass will said 9am Thursday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. Burial will be in Acushnet Cemetery.
