Clotilde Torres

Clotilde (Botelho) Torres 85 of North Dartmouth passed away on Sunday May 15, 2011, surrounded by her family, at St. Luke’s hospital. She was the widow of Manuel Torres Jr. and daughter of the late Cristiano Jacinto Botelho and Maria dosAnjos (Correia) Botelho. She was born in Achada, Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s church in New Bedford. Mrs. Torres enjoyed sewing and was an accomplished seamstress. She also loved cooking and taking care of her family, her greatest joy was to be with her family. Survivors include her children Manuel Cristiano Torres and his wife Filomena of North Dartmouth, Grace A. Folco and her husband Anthony of North Dartmouth; her granddaughter Katherine Selover and her husband Sean of Westport; many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Sofia dosReis Rodrigues, Olinda Arruda, Maria Torres, Angelo Botelho deSousa, Cristiano Botelho deSousa, Adolfo Correia Botelho and Manuel Cristiano Botelho. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Thursday at St. Mary’s church in New Bedford. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8pm.Burial will be in St. John’s cemetery
