David Gibbons

David Gibbons 61 of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly on Saturday September 15, 2012. He was the husband of Tanya (Young) Gibbons and son of Anne (Santos) Rosario of New Bedford and the late John Gibbons. He was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. David worked as a maintenance man for many different companies. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam war.  He was a member of the Centro Luzo Club. Survivors include his wife, his mother; 3 daughters Lorraine Burgo, Tammy Silva, and Desiree Cruz; his sister Marie Gibbons; his step children Lisa Silva, David Norman and Shona Norman, all of New Bedford; 6 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 6 step grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Cheryl Gibbons and Mark Gibbons. Visitation will be Tuesday 9:30am until 10:00am when a prayer service with his cremated remains will be held. Arrangements made by the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd.Burial with military honors will be in the Veterans National Cemetery, Bourne.
