Delores Carvalho

Delores (Andrade) Carvalho 85 of Acushnet passed away Tuesday November 1, 2016 at the Oak’s. She was the wife of John Carvalho and daughter of the late Julio and Emily Andrade. Born in Taunton she had lived in Acushnet for many years. Delores was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. She was employed as a civil service worker, in the cafeteria, at the Acushnet Elementary School until her retirement. She was a member of the Acushnet Jolly Seniors and the Acushnet Council on Aging. Survivors include her husband; her children John Carvalho Jr. and his wife Lorraine of East Freetown and Doreen Gregory and her husband Dana of New Bedford; her sister Beatrice Levesque of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jesse Andrade, Andy Andrade and Frances Serpa. Her funeral mass will be said 10am Friday at St. Francis Xavier Church in Acushnet. Cremation will follow. Visiting hours are 5-8pm Thursday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital PO Box 1000 Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
