New Bedford Dolores “Tiny” (Cardoza) Soucy 82 of New Bedford passed away on Tuesday March 15, 2011 at St. Luke’s hospital. She was the widow of Robert J. Soucy and daughter of the late Manuel and Irene (Pimental) Cardoza. She was born in Philadelphia and had lived in Southeastern Massachusetts most of her life. She was the proprietor of Tiny’s Beauty Salon until her retirement. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary VFW John F. Adams Post in Taunton, Military Order of Cooties, Senior citizens of Freetown and the Eagles of Lakeville. She was an avid card player and drove to various senior centers to play cards and games with her beloved card playing friends. She enjoyed traveling throughout the eastern United States until her health would not allow her to. She was a true “Lady Bug”. She leaves to cherish 3 daughters Cynthia DaCosta of Acushnet, Roberta Imbriglio of New Bedford, Joan Womble of Goldsboro, North Carolina; her brother Daniel Cardoza of Dartmouth; her sister Arlene Bielski of Acushnet; grandchildren Jeremiah Womble, Jonathan Womble, Tanya Costa, Timothy Imbriglio; great grandchildren Wyatt Womble, Lacie Womble, Kyli Blake and Timothy Imbriglio Roy; several nieces and nephews; special friends Cindy Farrell, Jeanine Smale, and a special thank you to Becky Cunningham. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She was the mother of the late Robert J. Soucy Jr. and sister of the late Beverly DeSouza. In accordance with her wishes she was cremated and a graveside service will be held at the Veterans National cemetery in Bourne on Monday March 28, 2011 at  12:45pm. Her funeral cortege will leave the funeral home at 12 noon.
