Edward Correia

Edward Correia, 75, of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, October 15 ,2025 at Massachusetts General Hospital. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, he was the son of the late Adriano Correia and Vivina (DaCosta) Correia. He was the former husband of Margarida (Inacio) Correia and loving husband to Fatima Dias.

Edward was a long time owner and operator of Correia's Auto Body. He loved life and lived every day to the fullest. Most often he could be found at the nearest golf course getting a round in with friends or family. His grandchildren meant everything to him and he cherished every moment he was able to spend in their company. He was a Charter Member of the Prince Henry Society since 1980 and dedicated much of his time to the Day of Portugal.

Edward is survived by his wife, Fatima; daughter, Amy Varnum and her husband Jerry and their children Zoe, Jakob, Tyler; son, Adrian Correia and his wife Natalie and their children Adrian and Julian; brother, Jorge Correia and his wife Stephanie and their son, Nathan Correia and his companion Sara-Elizabeth; Aunts, Laurinda Correia, Gracinda Costa; Uncle, Evaristo Costa and his many cousins.

His visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at the Boulevard Funeral Home from 5-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd at 10am at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish (formerly St. Mary's of New Bedford). Cremation will follow.
