Elizabeth Martin

Elizabeth Santos Martin 60 of New Bedford passed away on Wednesday March 5, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the daughter of Elsie (Nobrega) Santos of New Bedford and the late Saul Santos. She was the former wife of Joseph “Leo” Martin of New Bedford. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church. Elizabeth was employed by the Massachusetts Dept. of Mental Health as a community integration specialist. She also volunteered at Market Ministries and for the Salvation Army. She received her master’s degree from Cambridge College. Survivors include her mother; her former husband; her sister Annmarie Weeks of New Bedford; her nephews Mason Glenn Weeks and Adam Saul Weeks; also many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Her funeral mass will be said 9 am Monday at Our Lady of Assumption Church. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-7pm.Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
