Ester Remendos

Ester (Gouveia) Remendos 88 of New Bedford passed away Sunday December 25, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of Agostinho Remendos and daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Pereira) Gouveia. She was born in Madeira and lived in New Bedford for several years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Ester was formerly employed as a machine operator at U.S. Ringbinder until her retirement. Survivors include her daughter Balbina Jardin, her son Jamie Remendos both of New Bedford; her grandchildren David Jardin and his wife Ana, Neil Jardin, Jonathan Remendos and Kimberly Remendos. She was the mother of the late Avelino Remendos and Arminda Remendos. Her funeral mass will be said 8:45am Thursday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Visiting hours are Wednesday 6-8pm. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
