Evelyn Reynolds

Evelyn (Medeiros) Reynolds, 99, of Acushnet, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Medeiros and the late Mary (Souza) Medeiros and loving wife to the late Ralph W. Brown and the late Robert Reynolds.

Evelyn was strong-willed, fiercely independent, and had a spirit that could not be shaken. Even in her later years, she lived life on her own terms. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life: a hot lobster roll on a summer day, her favorite meal from McDonald's, and watching “Family Feud,” where she rarely missed an episode. Evelyn devoted much of her life to caring for others. As a dedicated home health aide at St. Luke’s Hospital, she brought comfort, compassion, and dignity to countless patients and families.

Survivors include her son, Vincent Malaguti; grandchildren, Chastity Parr and her husband Jeffery Parr, Stephen Mello Jr, and Michael Malaguti; great grandchildren, Anthony David Resendes and his wife Brittany, Kyle Costa Resendes and Hudson Stephen Parr and great great granddaughter, Vivian Evelyn Resendes.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Linda M. Mello, son, Douglas Malaguti and brother, Ronald Medeiros.

In accordance with her wishes, Evelyn will be cremated.
