Fernando Costa

Fernando T. Costa age 85 of New Bedford passed away Tuesday January 3, 2017 at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehab – Forestview in Wareham. He was the husband of Mavilde (Fonseca-Morais) da Costa and son of the late Joao Texeira Costa and Maria (de Araujo) Costa. He was born in Montalegre, Portugal and had lived in New Bedford since 1972. He was a communicant of the Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. He was formerly employed by Schumacher as a landscaper construction worker. He was a member of the Clube Recordacoes de Portugal. Survivors include his wife, his sons Manuel DaCosta of Mattapoisett and Pedro DaCosta of New Bedford, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. His visiting hours are Thursday 5-8pm. His funeral mass will be Friday 9am at the Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery
