Francisco Teixeira

Francisco “Frank” Teixeira 94 of Tiverton, RI passed away on Tuesday June 16, 2015 at the Clifton Rehab and Nursing Center. He was married to the late Maria (Jardin) Teixeira for 67 years and son of the late Antonio and Adeline (Pimental) Teixeira. He was born and raised in New Bedford and had lived in Fairhaven, Onset and Sanibel Island, FL. An entrepreneur at heart, “Mr. T”, as he was affectionately known by his employees, was the founder and owner of the Whittenton Garment Corp. He was selected as “man of the year “in 1979 by the Apparel Manufacturers Association. He also was a former trustee of the Taunton Savings Bank. Mr. Teixeira loved spending time with his family and friends, enjoyed boating, fishing and golfing. Survivors include his son Frank Teixeira and his companion Patricia McKay of Portsmouth RI; his daughters Kathleen Timmins and her husband Michael of Pocasset, MA and Patricia Teixeira of Medford, MA; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Teixeira of PA.; his grandchildren Christine, Suzanne, Michael, Jeffery, Kelly, Danielle, Christopher, Jennifer, Cameron and Georgia; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Brian Teixeira. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
