Francisco Vieira

Francisco Vieira 84 of New Bedford passed away Wednesday December 30, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Maria T. (Medeiros) Vieira and son of the late Manuel Vieira Jr. and Giorgina Borges de Medeiros. He was born in Povocao, St. Michael, Azores and had lived in New Bedford since 1968. Mr. Vieira was the owner of Vieira Landscaping Co. He was a member of the Our Lady of the Angels Band Club. Survivors include his children Paulo M. Vieira, Carlos M. Vieira, Lillian M. Cabral and Steven M. Vieira all of New Bedford; his brother Joao Vieira of Osterville; his sister Maria Salome Amaral of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held Monday at 10am at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. Visiting hours are Sunday 6-8pm. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
