Frank Gwozdz Jr., 79, of Dartmouth passed away at home on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Born in Acushnet, Frank was the son of the late Frank Gwozdz Sr. and the late Eleanor Gwozdz and loving husband to the late Marianne (Saulnier) Gwozdz.
Frank proudly served his country as a U.S. Navy veteran during the Vietnam War, stationed aboard the USS Independence aircraft carrier. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he went on to own and operate HJ Saulnier Oil Co. for more than 50 years. In addition to his business, Frank owned and worked his own farm, Dream At Last, where he raised everything from chickens to emus. Frank was a proud member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Regional Farm Bureau, organizations through which he continued to serve his community and support causes close to his heart. Frank found joy in saltwater fishing, especially for seabass, and cherished time spent on the water. When he was not fishing or working on the farm, he loved watching football and was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots.
Survivors include his daughters, Anne Dias and her husband Tony and Robin Gwozdz and her boyfriend Josh Ashley; 3 grandchildren, Raegen, Tyler, Samantha; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Richard “Archie” Gwozdz; sister, Janice Mailloux; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Marianne and his son, Jason Gwozdz.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd from 5-8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be said Tuesday, November 4th at 9:30am at the Boulevard Funeral Home all are welcome to attend beginning at 9am. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Dartmouth.
