George Medeiros Jr

George Medeiros Jr, 71, of Acushnet, passed away at home, unexpectedly on July 18, 2025. Born in Acushnet, he was the son of the late George Medeiros Sr. and the late Shirley (Jones) Medeiros.

George was a proud member of the Tribesmen Motorcycle Club and was known for his love of Harley-Davidsons, a lifelong passion for riding that brought him peace and freedom. He had a soft spot for pitbulls, always caring for them with loyalty and respect. He rarely missed a NASCAR race and had a deep appreciation for trains. He was a Vietnam veteran who served his country with honor and carried that pride with him throughout his life.

He is survived by his brother, Peter Medeiros and his wife Ruth of New Bedford; niece, Tammy Torre and her husband, Muhammed and nephew, Peter Medeiros Jr.

In accordance with his wishes, George will be cremated. A Graveside Service with his cremains will be held on Wednesday, August 20th at 10am in the Assonet Burying Ground.
