Henrique Rua

Henrique Rua 66 of Acushnet passed away Wednesday November 17, 2010, at St. Luke’s hospital, after a long illness. He was the husband of Gilda (Paiva) Rua. He was born in Sao Pedro de Sul, Portugal and had lived in this area since 1972. He was a member of the Assembleia Pentecostal. Mr. Rua was formerly employed by Titleist as a machine operator until his retirement. Survivors include his step-son James Moniz of New Bedford, his step-daughters Nancy Cabral of North Dartmouth, Susan Ribeiro of Mattapoisett; his brothers Manuel F. Rua, Antonio F. Rua, Jose F. Rua, Fernando F. Rua all of Portugal; 6 grandchildren; his nephew Paul Rua of New Bedford, his nieces Ana Regateiro of FL, Natalia Caeiro of New Bedford and several other nieces and nephews in Portugal. His funeral service will be held 9am Saturday at the Assembleia Pentecostal 215 Sawyer St. New Bedford. Visitation will be Friday 6-8pm. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery
