Hermano Garcia

Hermano Garcia, 87, of New Bedford, passed away on April 22, 2024. Born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose Ambrosio Garcia and the late Maria Jose Couto. He was the loving husband to his wife Margarida (Leite) Garcia.
Hermano was a presser at Jody Sportswear for many years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed watching old westerns, wrestling and just about anything on The Travel Channel. Hermano was a very religious man who we know is now with his savior.
Hermano is survived by his two sons, Armando Garcia and his companion Sara Botelho and Valdemar Garcia and his companion Darcie Sousa and her two daughters Kali Sousa and Chelsea Silva, his daughters, Ana Arter and her fiancé Tony Giorgianni and Gina Garcia Carreiro and her husband Carlos Carreiro; his brothers, Isodoiro Garcia and Jose Garcia and his sister, Maria Macedo.
He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Jonathan Garcia, Donovan Garcia, Mackenzie Garcia, Austin Garcia Carreiro and his fiancé, Kaitlyn Gross, Lucas Garcia Carreiro and Mason Garcia Carreiro as well as one great-grandchild, Kolten Garcia Carreiro and many loved nieces and nephews.
Hermano was preceded in death by his sister; Leonetta Pacheco.
All are welcome to join for a visitation that will take place from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, April 29th, at Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Boulevard, New Bedford, MA 02746. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 30th at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery at 11:00 am.
