Hilda Souza

Hilda (Gonsalves) Souza 97 formerly of New Bedford passed away Wednesday May 4, 2016 at the Forestview Nursing Home in Wareham. She was the wife of the late Lionel Souza and daughter of the late Manuel and Eva (Xavier) Gonsalves. She was born in New Bedford and lived here most of her life. Hilda was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, belonging to the Holy Rosary Sodality and the Holy Ghost Society. She was formerly employed as a machine operator at Cornell Dublier until her retirement. Survivors include her son Lionel P. Souza and his wife Paulette of West Yarmouth; her grandchildren Sandra Foley and Paul L. Souza; her great grandchildren Destiny Foley, Jasmin Eldridge and Devonte Pina. A visiting hour will be held Monday morning from 9:15 until 10:15. Her funeral mass will follow at 10:30,  at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
