Inocencio P. DaCruz

Inocencio P. DaCruz 73 of Acushnet, passed away Sunday November 18, 2018, surrounded by his family, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Helena (Moutinho) DaCruz and son of the late Joao Goncalves DaCruz and the late Maria (Pinto) DaCruz. He was born in Tras os Montes, Portugal and had lived in this area over 50 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Inocencio was formerly employed by the Albert J. Welch Construction Company until his retirement. He was an active member of the Clube Recordacoes de Portugal and a big fan of S.L. Benfica. Survivors include his wife, his sons, Rodney DaCruz and his fiancée Lauren of Acushnet and Christopher DaCruz and his wife Melissa of New Bedford; his brothers, Jose Cruz and his wife Amelia of New Bedford and Antonio DaCruz and his wife Bertha of Punta Gorda, FL; his sisters Maria DaCruz and her husband Joao of Milford, MA and Gloria Afonso and her husband Domingos of Acushnet; his grandchildren Dylan DaCruz and Scarlet DaCruz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. His visiting hours are Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 1-4pm. His funeral mass will be said 9am Monday November 26, 2018 at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
