Izaura Pinto

Izaura “Hazel” (Sousa) Pinto 82 of New Bedford passed away Wednesday June 12, 2013 at St. Luke’s hospital. She was the wife of Fernando “Fred” Pinto and the daughter of the late Antonio and Hortenca (Albuquerque) Sousa. She was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Hazel was formerly employed by the Acushnet Co. as a clerk until her retirement. Survivors include her husband, her daughter Linda Deikras of Las Vegas; her sister Hilda DaSilva of New Bedford and a granddaughter. She was the sister of the late Tony "King of Pizza" Souza. Her funeral mass will be said 9am Saturday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Cremation will follow. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to one’s favorite charity
