Jacinto Guerra

Jacinto P. Guerra 90 of New Bedford passed away Monday November 3, 2014 at the New Bedford Healthcare Center. He was the husband of Maria Cecilia (Alves) Guerra and son of the late Francisco Ramos Guerra and Maria Engracia D. Perdigao. He was born in Westport, Ma and was raised in Portugal before returning to Massachusetts. Mr. Guerra was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was formerly employed in the garment industry as a supervisor until his retirement. He was an all-around handyman and enjoyed camping with his family. Survivors include his wife; his son Nelson W. Guerra of Mansfield, MA; his daughter Maria “Kelly” Patricio of Marion, MA; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a Godchild Leonora Baptista, her husband Francisco and their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Horacio Ramos and Ramiro Guerra. Visiting hours with his cremated remains present will be held Monday 8:30 – 9:30 am.Followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church at 10am.
