James LaRose Sr.

James LaRose Sr. 80, of Acushnet, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at St. Luke's hospital. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Uga) LaRose and son of the late Ernest and Evelyn (Monroe) LaRose. He was born in Everett, Ma and had lived in Acushnet for many years. James was formerly employed as the maintenance supervisor at Tabor Academy until his retirement. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. He enjoyed playing music with his friends, was a ham radio operator and was a member of the NRA. Survivors include his daughters, Kim LaRose Peets of New Bedford, Melissa LaRose of Acushnet and Amy LaRose - Machado of New Bedford. He is also survived by his sisters Gail Lewis of New Hampshire and Janice Chinal of Saugus, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late James LaRose Jr. and brother of the late Robert LaRose. His visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford, from 4-8pm. His graveside service will be held at the Acushnet Cemetery 91 Main St.  Acushnet on Thursday December 8, 2022 at 10am. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery.
