Joao "John" DeJesus Cardoso Jr.

Joao "John" DeJesus Cardoso Jr., 46, of New Bedford, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Born in New Bedford, John was the son of the late Joao DeJesus Cardoso Sr. and Teresa D. (Dias) Mandeville and loving companion of 27 years to Terese Ramia.

John was inspired by all things outdoors & found calm in the many beaches and forests surrounding him. He was a passionate Red Sox fan. John worked for many years as a Sanitation Expert at Cyclone Cleaning.

Survivors include his mother, Teresa and ex-husband Albert Mandeville Sr.; companion, Terese and their son, Joao D. Cardoso III; sister, Haley Mandeville and her significant other Billy Augustine; brothers, Albert Mandeville and his significant other Kaitlin Maciel, and Timothy Mandeville; several nephews. John also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins.

John's visitation will be held at the Boulevard Funeral Home on Thursday, January 29th from 5-8pm. His Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, January 30th at 11am. All are welcome to join us at the Boulevard Funeral Home beginning at 10am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
