Joao Oliveira

Joao Oliveira, 93, of New Bedford, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal he was the son of the late Ernesto Oliveira and the late Maria Simas. He was the loving husband of Maria (Carmo) Oliveira. 
Joao came to the US in 1978 and for many years he proudly worked in the city clerk's office of New Bedford, MA. 

Joao's survivors are his daughter; Gabriella Rodrigues, his granddaughter; Lea Rodrigues, great-grandchildren; Bianca Hall and Olivia Gonzalez and many nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his son; Paul Oliveira and all of his brothers; Antonio Oliveira, Ernesto Oliveira, Hermenegildo Oliveira, Luis Oliveira, Honrato Oliveira and his sister; Lilia Oliveira. 

All are welcome to join for a visitation that will take place from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 18, at Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Boulevard, New Bedford, MA 02746. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 19 at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church followed by a burial in St. John's Cemetery at 11:00 am.
