Joao F Testa

Joao F Testa, 96, of New Bedford, passed away at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home on January 27th. He was born in Ilhavo, Portugal, the son of the late Silverio R Testa and the late Clementina (Ferreira) Manibela Testa. He was husband to the late Rosa S Baptista and the late Maria J Rodrigues. Joao came to the United States in November of 1967. He was a lifelong fisherman in Portugal and New Bedford. Joao could always be found playing solitaire. He enjoyed going to the coffee shop and visiting the pier to feed the birds with his brother, Dacio. He is survived by his sons; Joao M Testa and wife, Cesarina, Edward M Testa and girlfriend, Pauline Bruneau; grandson, Nicholas Testa; granddaughter, Christie Alberto and her husband, Michael and several nieces and nephews. Joao is preceded in death by his brother, Dacio C Testa and sisters, Auzenda R Testa and Odete R Catarino.

In accordance with the family's wishes, private services were held for Joao.
