John Candido

John Candido, 70, of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at home. He was born in Acushnet to the late Joaquim Candido and Alice Marmelo. He was the husband to Roxanne Boga-Candido. He was a self-employed mechanic who enjoyed playing cards at the Livesey Club in Fairhaven. He loved card games and casinos. He is survived by his wife, son, Andrew Candido of New Bedford, daughters; Christine Candido of Dartmouth, Michelle Goulart of Dartmouth, and Carol Mack of New Bedford, grandchildren; Christoper, Stephanie, Jaeda, Layla, Arryn, Alyssa, Eva, Kingston, and Maiya, great-grandchild, Skyler, and his long time friend Jody Soares. Friends and family are invited to attend his visitation from 8-9 AM with a service at 9 AM on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
