John DaCosta

John DaCosta, 70, of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Donald DaCosta and Mary (Fernandes) DaCosta. John was a devout Catholic and regularly attended Mass. He was always willing to give a hand to those in need. John loved to watch old movies and TV shows and truly enjoyed his morning walks to Market Basket for coffee, company or a morning treat.

John is survived by his mother; his sister, Janet Lachapelle and her husband, Steven; brother, Tom DaCosta; nieces and nephews, Jessica, Justin, Craig, and Kyla.

In accordance with John's wishes, he will be cremated. A visitation with John's cremains will be held on Tuesday, September 12th at Boulevard Funeral Home from 8am-9:30am. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10am. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
