John Freitas

John Freitas 82 of New Bedford passed away at home on Friday February 25, 2011. He was the husband of the late Helen (Krouzek) Freitas and son of the late Antonio and Isabel (Jesus) Freitas. He was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Freitas was a serviceman for Martins Vending. Survivors include his sons Jerry Freitas of New Bedford, Wayne Freitas and his wife Rosemary of Lakeville; his brother Domingos Freitas of New Bedford; his sisters Linda Camara of Acushnet, Maria Silva of Somerset; 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late John A. Freitas and brother of the late Manuel, Sylvino and Antonio Freitas Jr. A funeral mass with his cremated remains present will be said 9am Tuesday March 8 at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception church. Burial will be in Acushnet cemetery.
