John Nunes

John E. Nunes 54 of New Bedford passed away Saturday August 12, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the son of the late Anibal “Ned” Nunes and Virginia (Piedade) Nunes. He was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. John was employed as a driver for various companies. He possessed great love for his many nieces and nephews. John also loved cars, animals and his lifelong friends. Survivors include his sister Nancy Antil and her husband Jeff of Fairhaven; his brothers Robert Nunes of New Bedford and Glen Nunes of Dartmouth. Nieces and nephews, Traci Antil, Erin Ponte and her husband Matt, Zachary Nunes, Cameron Nunes, Benjamin Nunes and Heather Nunes; great nephews Jackson and Carter Ponte. Visitation with his cremated remains present will be Sunday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations to his family would be appreciated.
