Jorge Albuquerque

Jorge Albuquerque 56 of New Bedford passed away suddenly on Friday May 25, 2012 at Boston Medical Center. He was the son of Duarte Aguiar Albuquerque of Portugal and the late Filipa Maria (Gomes) Albuquerque. He was born in Sal Rei, Cape Verde Island and had lived in New Bedford since 1989. He was employed by the Veterans Transition House as a senior staff member. He was a graduate of Bristol Community College. Survivors include his father, his daughters Anna DePina and Yvonne Albuquerque both of New Bedford; his step-daughters Lisa DePina, Tiffane DePina and Jaslyn DePina all of New Bedford; his brother Duarte Aguiar Albuquerque Jr. of Cape Verde; 2 sisters one in Cape Verde, and one in Paris; his grandchildren Sariah DaSilva and Marco DaSilva Jr.; his girlfriend Angela Sepulveda of Brockton. Several nieces and nephews. His graveside service will be held Friday afternoon June 1, 2012at 1pm at the Acushnet Cemetery
