Jose R Timoteo, 74 of New Bedford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and children. Born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal he was the son of the late Manuel C Timoteo and late Emilia R (Rodrigues) Timoteo and wife of Teresa (Aurora) Timoteo. For many years, Jose worked as laborer for various construction businesses in the area. He is survived by his wife; Teresa; his sons, Joao Timoteo, Jose B Timoteo; daughters, Emilia Timoteo, Teresa Timoteo; sisters, Maria Jose Silveira, Maria Conceicao Rosa, Maria Filomena Matias; grandchildren, Felicia Timoteo, Jonathan Timoteo, Joshua Timoteo, Justin Timoteo, Brittany Costa, Katelyn Costa, Zachary Bois; 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jose is preceded in death by his brothers, John Mota and Manuel Mota. All are welcome to attend his visitation which will be held at the Boulevard Funeral Home on 223 Ashley Blvd New Bedford on Friday, October 7th from 10am-12:30pm with a Funeral Service at 12:30pm. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
