Kevin M. Hemmerly

Kevin M. Hemmerly, 67, of New Bedford passed away at St. Luke's Hospital on Tuesday, January 27, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, New York he was the son of the late Milton Hemmerly and Alice (Wiley) Hemmerly and loving husband to Cathy (DeCosta) Froias. 

Kevin was a great man with a knowledge of all things, he was a passionate story teller and excellent cook. A jack of all trades, he worked in various roles ranging from chef, to limo driver, long time laborer in the construction industry and mover. 

He is survived by his wife, Cathy; sons, Gustin Froias, Garrit Fonseca; brothers, Dennis Hemmerly and his wife Deborah, Brian Hemmerly and his wife Monique; sister Denise Edelman and her husband Kenny, Colleen Hemmerly; cousins, Dawn Wiley, Laurie Anne Wiley, his loving cat, Buddy and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, Kevin will be cremated.
