Kevin Mello

Kevin B. Mello 48 of New Bedford passed away Thursday January 2, 2014 at St. Luke’s hospital. He was the son of the late David and Phyllis (Moniz) Mello Sr. He was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. He loved the water, his boats, motorcycles and especially being with his family. Survivors include his daughters Tara Lynn Mello and her fiancé David Ruiz of New Bedford and Kaitlyn Mello of Coventry, RI; His brothers David Mello Jr. and his wife Kimmy of New Bedford, Leo Mello and his wife Lisa of RI; his sisters Roberta “Robbie” Sylvia and her husband Gary of Rochester, Cynthia Mello of RI, Monica Diehl and her husband Robert of Coventry, RI; his granddaughter Ashlyn Ruiz; his companion Toni Britto of New Bedford; his aunt Sandra Tavares and her husband Bruce; many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 pm, with a religious service at 2:30pm.Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers donations to his family would be appreciated.
