Leanor "Lee" Camacho

Leanor G. “Lee” Camacho 86, of Dartmouth, passed away Sunday August 4, 2018 at the Bedford Gardens. She was the daughter of the late Jose and Augusta (Fernandes) Camacho. She was born in New Bedford and lived in the greater New Bedford area all of her life. Lee was a registered nurse, working at St. Luke’s Hospital and then, for many years, for her brother Dr. Manuel G. Camacho DDS. She was a member of St. Luke’s Alumni and AARP. Survivors include her brothers Joe Camacho of Fairhaven and Vasco Camacho of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and 7 great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Dr. Manuel G. Camacho DDS. In accordance with her wishes she was cremated. A mass of Christian Burial will be held 9am Monday August 20, at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial of her cremains will be in Riverside Cemetery.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Luke’s School of Nursing Alumni 36 Chestnut St. South Dartmouth, MA 02748, for a scholarship to be given in Lee’s name.
