Leo H. Fleurent Jr., 89, of Fairhaven passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Born in Fairhaven, he was son of the late Leo H. Fleurent and the late Sophie (Wypych) Fleurent and loving husband of 67 years to Rochelle (Gauthier) Fleurent.
A longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Parish in Fairhaven, Leo’s faith was a guiding presence throughout his life, and he found great comfort in his church community.
Upon graduating from Fairhaven High School, Leo proudly served for a brief time in the Massachusetts National Guard. He went on to work at Revere Copper & Brass before beginning a long and dedicated career with Tichon Seafood, where he served as a foreman for over 20 years. In addition to his work there, Leo was an entrepreneur who owned and operated Fleurent’s Limousine from 1980 until his retirement.
Leo is survived by his wife, Rochelle; children, Lynne Sylva, Michael A. Fleurent and his wife Cheryl, Randall S. Fleurent and his wife Ann M. Rezendes, Nicole Fleurent and her significant other Christopher Dias; grandchildren, Kristy Donnelly and her husband David, Jeremy Caisse and his wife Kris, Keri Sylva, Darren Fleurent and his wife Sarah, Jared Fleurent and his wife Lindsey, Daniel Fleurent, Jessica Weigel and her husband Andy, Kaylee Desroches and her significant other Brian Costa, Andrew S. Fleurent and his significant other Patience Hamilton, Garrick Santos and his significant other Leah DeLong; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends who knew him as “Uncle Leo”. Leo is preceded in death by his son, Bruce L. Fleurent, brother Robert P. Fleurent and sister, Patricia Fleurent.
In accordance with his wishes, Leo will be cremated. A visitation with his cremated remains will be held on Thursday, April 9th at the Boulevard Funeral Home from 5-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be said on Friday, April 10th at St. Mary’s Parish in Fairhaven at 10am, all are welcome to proceed from the Boulevard Funeral Home beginning at 9am.
