Lucinda "Lucy" Pereira

Lucinda “Lucy” Pereira 91 of New Bedford passed away Friday May 31, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Home. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Gomes Pereira and Maria (Alves) Pereira. She was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. Lucy was formerly employed as a stitcher for Justin Clothing until her retirement. She enjoyed playing bingo, trips to Foxwoods and watching Boston sports teams. Survivors include her sister Laurie Rebello of New Bedford; her nieces Alice Legarde, Pamela Vasconcelles, Kathy Burns, Kim Newton and her nephew Russell St. Pierre and their respective families. She was the sister of the late Julie Camacho, Esther Gomes, Clo St. Pierre and Alice Dias. At her request she will be cremated and the burial of her cremains will be private.
