Margaret Nunes

Margaret (Martin) Nunes 88 of New Bedford passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the Oak’s. She was the wife of the late Mario Nunes and daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Souza) Martin. She was born in Falmouth, MA and had lived in New Bedford for many years. Margaret was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was formerly employed as a seamstress for Ethan Ames until her retirement. Survivors include her sons Dennis Nunes of Poway, CA and Michael Nunes of New Bedford; her brother George Martin of FL; her sister Dolores Amaral of TN; her grandchildren Jacob Allan, Andrew Franklin and Mackenzie Rose; her great grandchildren Rocco and Stella. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel Martin Jr., Laura Barreiro, Mary Santos and Linda Caldeira. A memorial mass will be said Monday 9am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Arrangements are by the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd.
